This year has seen several bridge closures due to extreme weather with the most recent on happening on July 1. Most closures are due to the wind, however, snow reduced visibility and falling ice also plaque bridge safety.

Ice on cables: can separate from cables and fall on a vehicle – so not cool!
30-35 years: number of years the paint job on the North Tower will likely last – not bad!

25 million: Bridge revenue, 23 million coming from tolls
American Flag: flown over the bridge on Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, 9/11, and Veteran’s Day from daylight until noon.
Tower Tour: 25 tickets are raffled off each year to charitable organizations.
