President "Holy Homer" Nye called the meeting to order.
 
Thoughts of Gratitude and Reflection were offered by Ramona Pleva.
 
Al Bonney and Friends presented the music: Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer.
 
Chris DeGood introduced visiting Rotarians and guests. 
 
Holy Homer reminded everyone that next week's meeting will be at the Holiday Inn.
 
Susan Kraus said the boat rally social outing to Power Island will be rescheduled to August 20th
 
Mike Meindertsma reminded everyone about the golf outing on August 26th  You need not be competitive to attend, he said. Just come for the fun!
 
Jeanne Snow introduced the speakers, Doug and Anne Stanton of the National Writers Series.  NWS, founded in 2010, is a year-round book festival and a destination for conversations with today's finest authors. Monthly author events bring in writers from around the country for sessions at the beautiful City Opera House.
