Andy Robitshek introduced Jennifer Stoll & Tammy Morris of the Autism Alliance of
Michigan – The status of this serious social- interaction disorder and symptoms was
reviewed and discussed by the speakers.  Their very informative presentation revealed
the many issues that affect communities due to Social Challenges, Communication
Difficulties, Personal Behavior and Physical/Medical concerns that accompany Autism.

As a 1st-time initiative the Traverse area community has organized a program to address these
issues.  The Traverse Bay Area Neuro-Diversity Pilot program under the Autism Alliance
Michigan is focused on Diversity Employment.  Employment of persons affected by Autism is
a major problem that requires community understanding and the cooperation of everyone.

Autism is a very complex subject.  Mayo Clinic offers this brief definition,
"Autism to Communicate and Interact with Others."  For a good source for the basic
