It was President “Awesome” Allison’s (Beers) last official meeting before the official change of leadership next week that she called to order this Tuesday. Following our opening, Randy Kamps invoked the indigenous peoples with his words of gratitude and thoughts of reflection. Bob Stow then led a literal round of singing that turned out pretty well considering who he was working with! And Tim Nelson introduced our visiting Rotarians and our many guests.

Kids Free Fishing Day was a terrific hit according to Chris DeGood. Lots of great help from many volunteers, both within the Rotary family and without. Thanks to Chris for and Everyone for another successful outing.
Max Anderson gratefully received a onesie (no not for him – though he would look cute in it, and I pay good money for that picture in the bulletin!) for new Baby Lillian Mae -8lbs, 12 oz and 21 in. for those who take note of these particulars.
Mike Wills introduced Stephen Burnett of Great Lakes Cruising who gave us a short presentation on the growth of the Boutique cruising industry as it expands its Adventure and Exploration Cruises into the Great Lakes making Traverse City a destination as it also cruises to Superior. Intriguing new economic growth opportunities for destination tourism to our area and other regional stops.
Amelia Burke has returned from her year in Brazil and gave us a brief recap, including showing off her new skills with the Portuguese language. She was most thankful to the Club for this amazing opportunity to further her growth as a young student.
