Byron Hanson was awarded a red rose for his tireless commitment to making our weekly meetings sound good. He has freely shared his superlative talent to the character of our great club. This is our club's highest honor for a fellow member.
In his tribute to Byron, Paul LaPorte mentioned that Byron started supporting our weekly singing at the piano, from the moment he joined the club in April 2006, and that he is the "real talent" behind The Kingsley Trio. Then, in a musical tribute, LaPorte led the club in singing For He's a Jolly Good Fellow to Byron. He certainly fits the description.

LIFE ROLE MODEL – In a leadership role, it would be Simon Sinek. A woman role model is definitely Michelle Obam; and spiritual role model, Dahli Lama.
MOST SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT – Everyday is an accomplishment, but a recent milestone was the completion of my masters degree.
PROUDEST MOMENT - Becoming a mom. I wasn’t prepared for it and I was definitely young, but would not trade this role for anything!
FUNNIEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU - My parents took my sister and me to Rome for my sister’s eighth
birthday. I had made an observation that ALL monks had trousers on underneath their robes. Then there was the monk that didn’t and I could see bare legs, and it just threw me over the top. We were in a public space and I wasn’t being overly quiet about my disapproval of this monk that had no pants on. My step-mother was trying to quiet me down and said “Now Lisa, what if that monk understands every word you are saying?” Not but two seconds later, the monk turned around waving his finger at me and said with a grin “You never know….” in perfect English! Mortified!
SECRET AMBITION – I have always wanted to be a wedding dress designer
IF YOU COULD BE ANYONE IN THE WORLD FOR A DAY (present or historical), WHO WOULD THAT BE---AND WHY? If Mulan (Walt Disney Studio animation) was a real person, I would say I relate to her ethnicity. She’s girl in a man’s world, and showed tremendous courage even with all the odds against her, and eventually winning the hearts of the Emperor and her country!

Look up "The Million Dollar Quartet" on Google to find the basis of our Roots of Rock medley. Look up Capital Steps for a hint of what the TC Parody medley will be like. Several really funny solos and small groups and easier music so we can make sure the audience understand do the TC Parody medley words. Oh yes, and Jeremy Evans did the choreo again this year. You will not want to miss this 75th anniversary blowout!
