New Member Alert!
On December 12th we inducted new member Laura Muzzarelli who just started her position as Venue Manager for the ever growing new build happening at Discovery Pier. Laura was born and raised in TC, graduating from West Senior High School, and attending NMC. She finished her education at Maharishi International University, receiving a B.A. in Media & Communications. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends (including the many dogs), and losing herself in a book. She is happy to follow in her grandfathers footsteps by joining our club. Welcome Laura!
Bring A Friend To Rotary
Do you know someone who is a community leader who would benefit from all the networking Rotary has to offer? Or maybe someone who loves helping others and would like to help Rotary give back to our community? Or maybe someone who just needs a strong group of friendly people in their corner every week? We challenge you to gear up for 2024 and bring as many friends as you can to a Tuesday meeting. We are working on some informational materials that can be handed out to potential guests to help them be more informed about the club, so be on the lookout for those!
The Success Of World Polio Day
Many Rotary clubs across the world participated in events for 2023 World Polio Day and you can read about it in this newsletter here. There is lots of great projects to read up on as well as facts about the virus that may not be known to you already. If you'd like to participate year round in the fight against polio you can contact Matt Waligorski the new Wheels of Hope President in 2024 at mwaligorski@team-pma.com.
Upcoming Trips
The World Community Service Committee announced their upcoming trips for 2024 at the last meeting when they presented on their trip to Guatemala this past September. They would love to have you volunteer to go on a trip that forever changes you and the communities you are serving in profoundly positive ways. Thank you to the team members who were able to get to Guatemala and represent the Rotary around the world! If you are interested in learning about what's to come you can click here.
