Please reaffirm your commitment to any groups that you'd like to remain a part of and sign up for anything new that interests you. Being a Rotarian means being committed to serving in one way or another, and they're should be something available to interest everyone. Once you have completed the form, Liz will connect you with the proper committee chairs via email. Any questions? Contact admin@traversecityrotary.org.
If anyone has a cell phone laying around that they'd like to donate to the club, we are very close to being able to offer electronic payments for things like 50/50, Happy Bucks & our fundraising efforts. We need a newer model (iPhone 6s or newer or Android 8.0 or later) to be able to run the proper software. Contact admin@traversecityrotary.org if you'd like to help.
Discover Rotary
Thank you to all who attended the 2nd Discovery Rotary session last Wednesday! John Hall & Linda Racine gave a great presentation to help members learn the history of our club, and lots of fun was had by all during some social time with good food. It is very important that new membersattend this event to get acclimated into the club, but we encourage all members to come, so be on the lookout for the next date.
Film Screening
If you attended the meeting in January where speaker Tim Keenan told his story of being a veteran, you have another opportunity to encounter him at a Traverse City Film Festival event. On April 30th at 7pm, Veterans For Peace presents a double feature of Naneek (Tim's short film) & Coming Home, the 1978 film starring Jane Fonda, Jon Voight & Bruce Dern. These films will mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
