Social and Volunteer Opportunities

  • STRIVE is our student-centered committee and needs a group of 15 members to participate in the Central High School Sophmore Mock Interview and Career Fair on May 31st from 8 am to noon. It's a great way to meet students and possibly help them find summer jobs. Please contact Sakura Takano to join the team in building up the youth of our community. There will be lunch provided.

  • We are celebrating the inaugural summer of events at Rotary Square and invite you to be a part of a historic moment by joining us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Rotary Square on June 9th at 6:30 pm. Please RSVP here by June 6th

  • Kids' Free Fishing Day will be held Saturday, June 17th.

  • Munson Manor Dinners are back and we need your help to prepare meals. Give back in a wholesome way by feeding people and giving them a night to relax and unwind. Don't worry if it's your first time, Ben Marentette would join you and show you the ropes. Members sign up directly through the electronic calendar link and let Ben Marentette know when you do so for tracking purposes.

  • "Got Committees?"

    • The Social Events Committee is in need of 3 new members to plan fun outings for the club to network and socialize outside of normal meetings. Please contact Susan Kraus to join in on the fun planning.
    • The Program Committee has been led by Steve Wade magnificently for 7 years. He is looking for someone to partner with him this upcoming year to learn the ropes and pass on new leadership.

  • The World Community Service Committee has planned a Guatemala Service Learning Trip. Join us this fall (September 23-30) as we visit projects our club has been supporting, meet with local leaders and Rotarians, and serve in a variety of ways in the programs’ schools and healthcare facilities.

    • Safe Passage - Our club has been involved with Safe Passage for many years--this short video provides a great overview of this life-changing program!

    • Planting Seeds - Our club contributed to the construction of a new community center opening in July.  Read more

    • Coyolate Health Clinic - The clinic provides medical care, medicines, and health education. Learn more

    • If you are interested in learning more, please contact John Cox jecox3073@outlook.com, Lorraine Beers lorrainembeers@gmail.com, or Linda Racine linbracine@gmail.com
