The election will take place at the start of our Tuesday, 10/27/2020 Club Zoom meeting (Silmar to the Charities/Camps election) Per our Bylaws you must be present to vote.

Max Anderson
Max first joined Rotary in 2015 but has lived in the Traverse City area his whole life. He is the current Chair of Rotary Show Ad Sales, the club’s largest and most complex FUN-raising effort. He also participates in Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Christmas baskets, the Rotary Show, Tag Day, and serves on the STRIVE Committee and the Music Committee. Max serves or has served in various local capacities on both civic and nonprofit boards including Chair of the Village of Kingsley DDA and Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, Vice-Chair of the Paradise Township Planning Commission, the Father Fred Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, Freemasonry, and the Festival Foundation (Cherry Festival, Iceman, etc.). Max holds an Associate's Degree from NMC (GO HAWKOWL'S!), and a Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University (GO BRONCO'S!).
Professionally, Max is a commercial lender for Honor Bank in Traverse City. In his spare time, he likes to play music, spend quality time with his wife Caitlin and two daughters Evy (7) and Lilly (16 months), hunt, fish, and be outdoors to enjoy the breathtaking beauty that is northern Michigan.
He is passionate about connecting our community and firmly believes that our Rotary Club plays a key role in making that happen!
Much to his surprise, one day Nick woke up and realized that his life revolved around service. Maybe it was his midwestern upbringing. Or becoming an Eagle Scout. Or his two overseas deployments with the Army's 82nd Airborne as a cavalry scout. Or starting a Traverse City-based business, Good Impacts, which supports and empowers other mission-driven
An organization like Rotary--dedicated to service, local change, and international development--has been a natural fit for Nick. He currently chairs our club's World Community Service Committee and serves on several others, including the Good Works Committee, Club Program Committee, and Bulletin Committee.
Nick has served on multiple local boards including, Bay Area Recycling for Charities, the Michigan Green Consortium and Wheels of Hope. He's also a member of Traverse Connect and the Great Lakes Business Network. He regularly volunteers with local environmental groups, including the Watershed Center and Grass River Natural Area, and with other community organizations like Safe Harbor and GOREC.
In his free time he enjoys exploring and experiencing all the beauty and bounty northern Michigan has to offer with his lovely wife Lauren.
He is excited to join the club board and will work tirelessly to attract new members and keep the values and light of Rotary burning brightly in our community!
Jennifer is a second-generation Rotarian and has been a club member since 2014. Jen developed and currently directs the Rotary 9/11 Honor Run and was the moving force behind launching the Grand Traverse Public Safety Alliance, a 501c3 for Traverse City's local first responders. She currently serves on the Rotary Charities Board, the Program Committee and previously served on the Committee for the Handicap.
A native of Traverse City, Jen moved home 6 years ago after spending many years in media and is now Partner & Head of Sales at Vortex, a new branded entertainment video production studio where they develop television series for major brands. She served as a board member and is currently a mentor at 20 Fathoms, a local technology and entrepreneurship incubator for startup companies.
Jen has been married for 6 years to her husband Jack Casey with a son, Brendan who just turned 4 years old and a daughter Harper who is almost 3 years old. In her limited spare time, you can find her training for the next triathlon or enjoying the local hiking trails with her friends and family. Jen is dedicated to making this community a place where people want to come live, work and play!
I’m Scott Hardy and I am a lifelong resident of Traverse City and a one of three generations of Rotarians.
On the business side I am currently a commercial Realtor with Three West Commercial Realty. On the civic side I have been actively involved in this community since high school. I’ve served, or serve, on the City Commission, Planning Commission, Parks and Rec. Commission, Downtown Development Authority, GT County Planning Commission, TCAPS School Board, WRC Board, TC Chamber Boards, and the City Opera House board.
On the Rotary side I have served on the World Community Service and Program Committees, performed live, and been a member of, the Rotary Show Committee and I was an integral member of the Rotary Square committee proposal approved by membership. I list all of these as an example of what I was taught by my parents and their friends.
It’s the responsibility of every citizen, in any community, to play an integral role in the ongoing success of their town, state, and country they live in. It’s the way participatory democracy works and it’s also what makes Rotary work. I am honored to be nominated for the Rotary Board and promise all of you that I share the same commitment to Rotary that I do to this community.
Alexis first joined Rotary in 2016 after moving to Traverse City from Chicago. While living in Chicago, she served as the Vice President of Education & Training for the Junior League of Chicago and was the Executive Vice President for WishList Chicago--which provides funds and services to Chicagoland Children’s Hospitals.
Alexis is currently the chair of IM Rotary, is a counselor for Rotary Youth Exchange and participates in the Rotary Show, 9/11 Run, Christmas Basket Program, Salvation Army Bell Ringing and Tag Day. She is a Fall 2017 graduate of Leadership Grand Traverse and is a volunteer for the TC Chamber Golf Outing and Bras for a Cause.
Alexis has been married to her husband Zachary for 6 years and has two girls, Victoria who is 4 and Reese who is 2—who definitely keep her on her toes! She holds a BS in Fashion Merchandising, a minor in Marketing and is currently the Quality Control Manager for Venturi, Inc.
Haider joined the Rotary Club in 2018. Since joining Rotary, Haider has been involved and active in several Rotary committees and volunteer activities. Haider is a member of the Good Works committee and Friends of the Boardman committee where he was responsible for the Super Raffle sales. Haider has been an active member of the Rotary Show production team and has been actively involved in multiple fundraising events such as Rotary Bell ringing, TAG Day, NMC BBQ, and Christmas Baskets. He also volunteered for the recently held Rotary Club Blood Drive in 2020.
Outside of the Rotary Club, Haider is a member of the Traverse Connect Governmental Relations Committee. Haider is an Equity Partner with the law firm of Cummings, McClorey, Davis & Acho, P.L.C., where he focuses his practice on governmental and municipal law.
He is married to his wife Holly, they have 2 daughters, Teagan (16) and Makenzie (13), and their German Shepherd Otto.
Marlene has been an active Rotarian since September of 1981. She is a Paul Harris Fellow, served as chair of the Good Works committee and currently serves as Vice-Chair of on the Board of Rotary Charities. Marlene was also the Chair of the Committee for Youth Exchange. She serves on the Music Committee and has been a member of the Rotary Chorus for almost 20 years.
Marlene has served the Northwestern Michigan community on the Boards of the Old Town Playhouse, Grand Traverse Hockey Association, Goodwill, the Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital, Congregation Beth El and the Traverse Bay Intermediate School Board.
Marlene is the owner and Director of Audicare Hearing Centers.
She is married to Jeremy Conaway. Their son, Jared Conaway lives with his wife, Edith and their 2-year-old son, Javi, in Coral Springs Florida.
Marlene is passionate about Rotary. A critical part of her vision for Rotary revolves around the leadership opportunity and responsibility that our Club will exercise during the pandemic’s recovery phase and the return of our community to social and economic health.
