What a great week! Our President, Dale Chilcote, started the meeting by thanking Mike Meindertsma for stepping in last week while Dale was away. Thanks again Mike!

Announcements:

Trevor Tkach: AD SALES! AD SALES! Congrats to everyone for closing $20K last week and $40K this week in sales for the Rotary Show! Please reach out to your team captains and let’s give this a huge push the next few weeks. New members…the success is on your shoulders! If we can sell ads to new businesses this year, the better we can serve our community.
Dale Chilcote: Rotary will be at the Old Town Playhouse on 3/8/16. The theme is “Brown Bag Lunch” so bring your own food and drink. Proceeds will go to the Rotary Foundation.
Al Bonnie: Congrats to the entire club for selling out all tickets to benefit the Rotary Foundation!
Fundraiser on April 12^th at the Boathouse to raise money for the Student Abroad Program. Event starts at 6:30p and tickets are $50. Excellent food and beverage will be served.

Vern Gauthier led the group in a tribute to Frank Sinatra with a song that lets us all shake it off; “That’s Life.”

Laura Oblinger announced visiting guests this week while Autumn introduced our fabulous Students of the Week!

Both from TC Central High School we heard from Maria Luciani and Joe Bourdages.

Maria was a fantastic speaker involved in the Honors Society, was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist and also a part of the musical Footloose. Joe, also very comfortable speaking for the crowd, is in 4 AP classes this year as a Senior, on the Varsity Bowling Team and works at Eastern Elementary in his spare time. We wish them both much success in the future and hope they return back to Rotary someday.

Congrats to the recent graduates of IM Rotary! Cindy Anderson, Chris Cox, Emma Moyer, Jeff Dufort and Meghan Daigh. You’ve all earned 500 Paul Harris credits!

Sander Scott from TCAPS was proud to introduce the main event this week which was Erich Wangeman and the West Senior High Performers. Opening soon, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical comedy “Once Upon a Mattress.” The students were wonderfully entertaining and performed three songs for the audience leaving everyone ready to buy tickets to the show. Make sure to check out show dates and times to support this amazing program and keep our students involved in music and the arts.

50/50 Raffle is starting to look rigged. Dale Chilcote won AGAIN this week! Must be good karma for being our President this year. Thank you Dale! Lunch is on you next week.

MOST FAMOUS PERSON MET - According to my father it was Dr. Wernher Von Braun at the Apolo – Soyuz Test Project Docking mission of 1975 at Cape Canaveral. I was 12.
