Meal Train For Miriam
Our very own Miriam Owsley and her family have welcomed a new baby this past week. Let's show them some support in this exciting and busy time. Click the link below to deliver them a meal or to donate funds to spoil baby Violet!
Take a few minutes to read up on how The Flight to Eradicate Polio continues successfully in the attached newsletter. They are in Australia and will soon be addressing the long flight home across the Pacific Ocean. This is a fabulous and heroic undertaking. Have you considered donating? Links to do so are available along with updates on their adventure since their last posting.
Also check out www.flighttoendpolio.com to learn more about the history of this amazing Rotary partner.
Social and Volunteer Opportunities
Rotary Boat Rally to Power Island: On Tuesday July 11th,we will be having a picnic on Power Island. Anyone who wants to be a captain and offer their boat to ship a group over to the island by 6pm is welcome to contact Susan Kraus at susankraus231@gmail.com to sign up or contact her if you would like to be a part of a group and she will be providing details of final groups assignments and where they will meet at a later date. We encourage everyone to come and bring their spouses to enjoy some classic picnic food and maybe some swimming if it's warm! (Fingers crossed) We will have a Plan B in place if the weather is not cooperative, so a day of fun is guaranteed either way.
Guatemala Service Learning Trip: September 23rd-3oth So far 9 people have committed to going and there is room for more!
