We have been thinking of planning a theater night at the Old Town Playhouse for some time, and we've finally chosen a fast-paced screwball comedy, Ken Ludwig's "Moon over Buffalo," for our first OTP adventure. It's been described as "one of the funniest farces written in recent years." Phil Murphy and Ralph Mittelberger (whose wife is the director) have worked together to plan a fun night for Rotarians.
Our night is Thursday, March 14; the performance starts at 7:30. Tickets are $22.00 each, a generous 27% discount off the regular ticket price of $30.00. OTP is holding a block of prime seats for us until March 7, then will need to release them to the public. Family and friends are welcome to join you.
Rotarians are encouraged to meet at the playhouse for pre-show conversation and libations -- there's a cash bar downstairs.

Moon Over Buffalo has many types of comedy: mistaken identity, misunderstandings, and mistaken situations. The result is a funny play and a laugh-filled evening.
George and Charlotte are fading Broadway stars who have taken their rundown repertory company to Buffalo, NY. Charlotte finds out that George is having an affair with the group’s ingenue and plans to leave him until she finds out that a famous movie producer is coming to see their afternoon matinee. Repeated miscommunications and mixed purposes then lead the cast to present a hysterical play.
It's a madcap comedy that will definitely make you laugh.
