PRESIDENT ALLISON BEERS called the meeting to order and Rev. Gary Hogue gave the Invocation. Bob Stow led us in singing “SMILE” and “THE ROTARY SONG”. Beautiful day and beautiful music!!! Page Graves introduced VISITING ROTARIANS and GUESTS. Our SPEAKER, Dr. Romana Pleva, brought most of her family with her today for both the “tasty” food and support. They were a major portion of our GUESTS.
Kurt Rivard announced PAUL HARRIS FELLOW AWARDS. A PAUL HARRIS FELLOW is given when someone has donated $1000 to the ROTARY FOUNDATION. Both Steve Haskin and Bob Cooney were awarded 1st time pins. Becky Ewing was awarded a 2nd time pin. And, if heard correctly, Kurt Rivard earned a 3rd time pin. A very well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!!!
This being Primary Day, PRES. ALLISON encouraged everyone to get out and VOTE. Someday you might not be fortunate enough to have that “right”. The next two Rotary Meetings will be at CenterPointe. Be sure to note this on your calendars!

Mike said the Golf Committee has decided to donate the money to the “9/11 Honor Run 5K”. Let’s WIN again this year against our Kiwanis friends. - Jen Casey up-dated us on this year’s 9/11 Honor Run. It will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 8:46 a.m. at F&M Park. Enter the race and have some fun! - Jamie Keilor is requesting volunteers contact him if you’d like to be a member of the “FUN COMMITTEE”. He’s guaranteeing you will have fun.
Today’s 50/50 was won by none other than Marsha Smith.
