The Rotary Club of Traverse City met on July 23, 2019. The West Bay Beach - a Delmar Resort - welcomed us into their newly renovated conference room! It was lovely!
President Homer opened the meeting. After God Bless America and the Pledge of Allegiance, Marsha Minervini led us a Bicycle Built for Two.

Mark Eckhoff took his time hoofing it to the podium to remind us of the Rotary Golf Outing. You don’t really have to know how to play golf to do this. (Let’s face it, most of us aren’t a Mike Meindertsma on the golf course!) Just be prepared to have fun.
Ramona Pleva announced that Chad Hall will be leading the Mighty Rotary Chorus during our 2020 Centennial Rotary Show.
Steve Wade in his stellar Ed McMahon voice, introduced our speaker from Shelter in a Box, Sarah Robinson.
She spoke of the need for temporary housing in areas that are ravaged by disaster. The organization started with a Rotary Club in England and is set up to respond to emergencies around the world where more than 200 families have been displaced by a natural disaster. The Shelter in the Box contains a tent, some repair supplies and tools. This allows families to stay together following a crisis. https://www.shelterboxusa.org/
Volunteers are trained and will respond in an instant, leaving their jobs and families to serve those in devasted areas.
